Pradeep & Arun

Pradeep & Arun

Woven by Pradeep and Arun. Every Manchaha is woven with a unique story of the maker. ‘Bhai-Chara,’ meaning ‘Brotherhood’, represents their strong bond as brothers and artists.

In this Manchaha, they have woven roads that lead to their respective villages, expressing their love for their hometowns. Pradeep fondly recalls the route to his village, Bhatinda, on which he would travel every day after work. Meanwhile, Arun admired the beauty of the winding roads that led to his village in Bihar.

They have also hand-woven small, colorful butterflies at the top of their carpet using wool and silk yarns, which they used to see during their travels. Through their shared creation, Pradeep and Arun found comfort in each other by connecting over their shared memories of their hometowns and yearning to explore their villages' roads once again.
